How to get Japan Visa without ITR and without leaving your home

If you're a freelancer (VA, Agents, etc) dreaming of visiting the Land of the Rising Sun but lacking the conventional requirements like an ITR, worry not! Based on my personal experience, I've been through it, and I'm here to guide you through the process in an easy way.

Step 1: Research and Connect with a Reliable Agency

I checked the Japan embassy's list of registered agencies and found my perfect match – Universal Holidays Incorporated. https://www.universalholidays.com/

Here are the requirements:

The size of the document for application should be A4 size only.

This is for tourists without a guarantor. 

For multiple visa applicants:

Upon contacting Universal Holidays, they promptly provided all necessary details. The speed of their response impressed me, setting a positive tone for the entire process.

Step 2: Prepare Your Documents Efficiently

Refer to the images above for a comprehensive list of requirements. Once prepared, I opted for the user-friendly Visa Center PH app, streamlining the assessment process. The app allows for quick submission, online payment, and convenient feedback in just one day.

VISA CENTER PH (https://visacenter.ph/)

- You may avail of the promo voucher with a rate of P500.00 per applicant (for both single-entry & multiple-entry visa) through our website or app named Visa Center PH. Access the above link to register an account to avail of the promo voucher, and once availed, pre-assessment must be made via Visa Center PH by uploading the documents. Submission can be done via courier if not personally, once the assessment is completed.

*Promo is valid until Dec. 29, 2023 (travel period until March 2024).

*Visa Center PH assessment will take at least a minimum of 1-3 working days.

If you prefer sending it through e-mail it's okay too but you won't be able to avail of the promo. 

In the app, all you need to do is type all the details and upload all your documents very easily and conveniently. If they find an error you will be able to know it soon, and they will put a remarks.

 

Step 3: Submitting Your Physical Documents

Universal Holidays made it incredibly easy to submit my documents through LBC courier. No need for in-person visits – everything can be done from the comfort of your home. Check-in LBC if they can do pick up in your area it's more convenient, if not you have to visit the nearest branch.

Step 4: Visa Processing and Delivery

The entire visa process took just three working days. Regular updates through the app, texts, and a courtesy call from Ms. Maureen kept me informed. Passport return? Seamless, thanks to LBC courier.

December 18, 2023, I already received a message that my VISA has been processed and I will receive another message for the tracking number, they sent out my Passport on December 19, 2023, and received it on December 22, 2023. 

You don't have to follow up on them or everything will be updated through an app, text message, or email. Kudos to UHI for the smooth transactions. 

Tips for Freelancers Without ITR:

For those without an ITR, fear not. I submitted a detailed letter explaining my situation, along with proof of funds during my previous trip. Bank statements from digital banks like Maya Bank or Seabank (for quick and free transactions) are accepted.

 PS. I visited Japan way back in 2019, not as a freelancer. It's the only country I visited when I applied for the second time. 

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How much funds do you need?

There's no specific amount; submit what you have. A larger fund may enhance your application.

2. Do you need to book a flight ahead?

Avoid booking in advance; refunds can be tricky if your visa is rejected.

3. Do I need to book a hotel ahead?

No, simply identify potential accommodations, gather contact details, and include them in your itinerary.

4. When to apply for VISA?

• Within three months of your travel. A single visa is valid for 4 months.
• You may try to apply for a multiple visa too; no harm in trying, but even if they only grant you a single entry, you won't get a refund for the M. Entry visa fee, for it's paid in the embassy.

How to start to become a VA?

STEP 2:

Create an account at https://www.onlinejobs.ph 

 Prepare the following before you start; make sure it is saved on your PC/Laptop/Phone;

1. I D picture no background, clear copy. 

2. Selfie holding your ID, clear copy.

3. Profile Picture with white background front view,  it should be a formal close-up shoulder-level picture. No side views, No Effects/animation, and No glasses or caps allowed. You have to be facing directly at the camera on your photo just like an ID.

4. Proof of residence or address. 

Tip: Use Canva to create a profile picture.

Once done, take the DISC, IQ, and English tests, don't forget to take screenshots of every result you will need to upload everything later once you encode all the results; you can retake the exam as many as you want, just make sure your English test is C2, no lower than that. See the sample below;

Once done wait for 1 to 3 days for verification and you will receive an email like this;

If after 3 days you didn't receive a verification or any update you may email them at support@onlinejobs.ph they will respond to you promptly (based on my experience)

There are a lot of websites where you can find a VA job try to explore more. If you want to be part of an agency you can find them at Indeed or similar.

Step 3: 

Know your Niche or what is exactly you want to do as a VA?

If you don't know yet keep on applying and find where you're best at. 

Send 10 applications every day, never stop. 

When applying using OLJ you don't need to use your CV first all you need is a cover letter this is what it looks like when you apply

Some job postings only need 50 ID proofs but mostly you will see 75 that's why you need to complete all your requirements (Step 2);

Once you click the "Apply for this job" you will be directed here; please make sure you read the whole job description sometimes they are asking for a code to make sure you read everything like putting a rainbow on the subject or putting work smart at the message. For apply point you can put 1 or 3 depending on your, it will go back to 60 again don't worry. For contact info put all the details that you have Whatsapp number, email address, LinkedIn, and portfolio if you already have. Then send the email.

Once your application gets recognized they will email you directly and will ask for a copy of your CV.

Never stop learning, every job posting has the required tools that you want them to know, the best technique is to study the basic knowledge about the tools, you don't need to be an expert you will learn that once you get hired. It is important to know the basics during an interview, Be on time, and always smile.

I Am Exhausted

 Have you ever found yourself feeling exhausted because of the people around you? It's like you're giving you all to help them, but it seems like they're not doing anything to help themselves. I can relate to this feeling all too well, especially with my uncle who suffered from a stroke earlier this year.

I've been taking care of him, financing his daily needs, and making sure he's comfortable. But despite my efforts, I noticed that he wasn't helping himself. Instead of buying necessary things, he would spend his money on food that he shouldn't be eating. It's frustrating, and I find myself easily getting irritated by him.

However, I realized that this is an opportunity to show the love of God. In God's eyes, I may be like my uncle - stubborn and inconsiderate - but He loves me perfectly without judgment or condemnation. It's not an easy task, but I'm praying for the strength to pass this test.
